Expressions of Asking and Giving Advice

Suggestion or advice is something about what you think someone should do or how they should do something.

In English culture, if you want to give advice to someone else, there are some ways that you must know. Are you curious it? Let's learn them together.

Sela    :   Yeah, I think the number of drug users is increasing.

Note :
1. In giving advice, we commonly use : sould/ought to + Verb 1, example :
    a. You should go to the dentist.
    b. You ought to go to the dentist.
    c. I think you ought to try to do that.
2. We can also use : had better + Verb 1, example :
    a. You'd better go now.
    b. I think you'd better go now.
3. Must, have to basically have the same meaning. They express the idea that something is necessary.
    a. Don't / doesn't have to express the idea that something is not necessary.
    b. Must not / mustn't express prohibition.
    c. How about taking a rest here yes, good idea.
    d. What about going out for a walk now, you can't do that.
    e.Why don't you repair the car ?
